Is the Nerium MLM business model a scam or is it a genuine Network marketing home business opportunity?

Nerium International LLC is a privately owned company that was founded by Jeff Olson and Dennis Winsor in 2011. They operate from their headquarters in Addison, Texas, US and currently distribute internationally in Ontario and British Columbia, Canada and there are more countries to come. Nerium provides a range of breakthrough products that are clinically proven to reduce the appearance of multiple skin concerns at the same time.
Because I am actively involved in the Network Marketing community on a daily basis I am constantly asked by people if an MLM company is a scam. The truth is that this happens due to a lot of people not having an understanding of the real facts.
As far as the Nerium MLM business model is concerned, the answer is definitely NO, it is not a scam.

What’s more I haven’t ever used any of the Nerium products. Also I don’t know of anybody who is a Nerium distributor or has used their products either.
So why should you listen to me?
I have been involved with the Network Marketing industry since about 1990 so I understand what it is about and how it operates. Furthermore I also established and successfully built up a business that during my involvement did created about £300 million or $500 million of revenue which has given me an understanding of big business. The combination of both of these experiences has given me the ability to look and analyse a business opportunity in a way that most people won’t be able to because they don’t have the same experience as me and therefore they don’t see things that may not be visible on the surface.
Doing due diligence before committing and investing your hard earned cash into an opportunity is good thing. However it is important that you read good quality information and you are not distracted by misinformation. Ultimately you need to know the essential information to make the right decision. Be careful with the internet because it is littered with the noise of misinformed people that will confuse you.

To the small number of people who are actually familiar with the MLM laws that were established in the United States in 1970s, they very quickly realise that as well as being an great MLM company, Nerium has to comply with the laws in the US and also the other international countries that they operate in. For example, just in the USA, if Nerium was in breach of the legally defined framework of a Network Marketing company they would be pursued by the FTC and shutdown.
Most of the time the question of whether or not a home business MLM opportunity is a scam is due to a lack of knowledge of the legal guidelines for an MLM business in the US and other countries, and then with this lack of knowledge inappropriately labelling a legitimate Network Marketing MLM opportunity as an illegal Pyramid Scam. For these people they have not bothered to get to understand the law in the US, and the establishing cases that happened in the 1970s, they don’t realise that Nerium complies with the MLM guidelines and requirements of the FTC. Once you know and have this knowledge and you then look a number of aspects of the Nerium MLM business model you quickly become aware that Nerium are not only offering a legitimate MLM home business opportunity, but they are also providing genuine value to the market.
Nerium International is quite a new company that has grown quickly to have an annual revenue of $219 million which places them at around the 54th largest MLM company in the world. The company is led by Jeff Olson as the Co-Founder and CEO. Jeff Olson has been around for many years and is someone who you may have heard of before especially if you are interested in personal development. He is the author of the book ‘The Slight Edge’ and he is also known for his success in the Network Marketing profession.
The Nerium products are based around the Nerium Oleander plant which apparently provides remarkable age-defying results when applied to the skin which deals with wrinkles, discoloration, and texture. The NeriumAD Age-Defying Treatment was formulated after more than 10 years of scientific research and clinical testing by scientists and medical professionals for Nerium SkinCare.
Nerium International have a range of products including a night cream, a day cream, eye cream, brightening cream, contouring lotion and more on the way. I haven’t tried the products so I am only reporting what I discovered in my research. However there appears to be solid scientific research behind the patented product and its claims. I found this to be the case with people who were making a small amount of money all of the way up to the top earners. My verdict on Nerium MLM business model is that is not a scam. With this in mind it is probably best not to refer to the ‘Nerium Scam’ anymore.
