Prior to getting involved in a Network Marketing or an MLM opportunity it is very common for people to research the company, its products and the opportunity – it is prudent to do so. At this point I would also like to declare that I don’t believe that Forever Living is a scam but a genuine home business opportunity to make money. I will now explain why I believe this.
In considering whether something is a scam it is only fair to first look at the definition of a scam. According to Google a scam is defined as ‘a dishonest scheme; a fraud’. With this in mind I now explain why Forever Living is not a scam.
Forever Living Products International, Inc is a private company that was established in 1978 by Rex Maughan and is has its headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, US. They have over 4000 employees and over 9.5 million distributors in over 145 countries. They have a claimed multibillion dollar turnover although there doesn’t appear to be any freely available information to verify this without paying for the information.
Is the Forever Living Products MLM Business Model Legal?
I don’t believe that it would be possible to operate a company that is the size of Forever Living Products International, Inc if you did not comply with laws and regulations of the countries that they operate in. In the US the FTC has approved the MLM Network marketing business model. Once you realise that the business model is legally compliant you realise that it is very obvious that Forever Living Products is not a scam but a real business opportunity.
Forever Living have a range of over 200 bee products, aloe vera drinks and aloe vera-based aromatherapy products cosmetics, lotion, soap, tooth gel, dietary and nutritional supplements. With over $2 million of sales a year it is clear that people are repeatedly buying the products. Without comparing the individual products, which is beyond the scope of this article, the overall conclusion is that the products must be of a high enough quality and be good enough value to make people keep coming back for more.
To get stated with Forever Living Products according to their website ‘It’s risk free — no membership fee, no monthly fee, and no obligations to buy’. The Forever Living compensation plan is based on the Unilevel Structure. Retail sales of the product earn the distributors a 30% profit margin, plus a range of commissions can add a further 5 to 18% for up to 5 levels deep and infinitely wide. On top of this there are other incentives such as car plans, profit shares, all expenses paid trips etc. As with any MLM it is important to thoroughly understand the comp plan before you invest in to the scheme. Also you must be prepared to do what it takes to become successful. No one is going to give you an opportunity where you don’t have to put any effort in with guaranteed results.

I found it difficult to draw any conclusions from the noise of the many opinions. In fact what you never get told by the people who fail is what they didn’t do that they should have done. The key for you is to not be like the people who didn’t make the business opportunity a success. All you have to do is do what it takes rather than expect someone else to do give the keys to a get rich scheme which this isn’t.
Hopefully you can see that the Forever Living Products International, Inc MLM business opportunity is not a scam but a genuine home business opportunity. However that is not a guarantee that you will get rich or make money with it. You need to put effort and hard work in to make it successful which takes time.
